SikhsRoots is ran by the same guy who did EktaOne.com?

New Web Address, Same Guy….. Same Story ….

Come Meet Us…

After reading the comments on ShiningSikhs blogspot, we’d like to deal with these problems at a local level. This internet malarkey doesn’t seem the best way to deal with these issues.

So to the Singh and Singhni running the ShiningSikhs website, we’d like to meet you at a GuruGhar of your choice anywhere in the UK where we can sit and talk about this in a civilised manner.

 We await your response.

Shinda Singh Explains Sikh Student Camp

itty.jpg

As many of you may or may not have heard, there was some rawkus in the UK over the weekend that saw a group of individuals hospitalize members from another. Undoubtedly many are shocked at such brazen – “Sikh on Sikh” violence, but from the sounds of it, wasn’t this all a long time coming?

Firstly I’m not condoning the violence, although I’m not against the use of violence to accomplish a means, I do hold that violence should remain a last resort, and a certain level of thought / care needs to be taken before one chooses to cross that line, because rarely is it possible to undo such damage. In other words, once you cross that line, there’s no crossing back, so it better be worth it.

Now to the real flesh of the topic, as to why was this all a long time coming. I need to make it clear now that I’m not involved in any way with the Sikh Student camp in the UK, never been there, don’t personally know anyone who has, so everything I do know about it, for or against comes from third party sources.

Having talked to various people, my understanding of the Sikh Student camp emerged out of the old BOSS Student Camps when the UK Nihang faction (Niddar Singh and crew), were removed from taking part in any shape or form. This led to the creation of the Sikh Student camps which offered what it and those who support the camps claimed to be, a diverse outlook on Sikhi. Now I don’t know how much of an influence Niddar Singh or his minions have on the actual camp but if it’s anything like the views expressed on their website, then we all know how diverse they can be. Also, Niddar Singh and company are no strangers to violence, with news of fights that occur between members of his own group or that of opposing factions emerging yearly whether it be in the UK or stretching as far as India. However, to this degree it has been refuted that Niddar Singh and company have nothing to do with the camps, so I guess we’ll just have to take their (those saying such things) word for it, [to the contrary] that these two “beefs” are not connected.

Many individuals in recent times have expressed a disgust with the camps, over videos and images that have emerged on the net depicting individuals in a negative light. Whether it was of organizers’  [can’t say if they are or not] doing there best to imitate Pac, or dropping verses like Chamkila, it’s fair to say that not everyone was happy, and felt that these few reasons alone were a just means to call for a boycott.

I would have to give this one to the defendants [Sikh Students], simply because you can’t hold the organizers responsible for the actions of a few. The singing and dancing video apparently was done for jokes, and it seems that people are blowing it out of proportion to justify their own means, as for the pictures, not exactly capturing individuals at there finest moments, but again I’ll give some of these images the benefit of the doubt that they were being done for jokes, whether or not you share in their sense of humor I’ll leave to you.

What raises an alarm with me however are the allegations of harassment and lude behavior towards the Bibian at the camp. These are always serious allegations that require serious attention, but just posting ones claims on message boards does seem rather redundant, as it rarely serves a purpose in solving the problem.

Now apart from the rest the Sikh Student camp has faced many of these allegations and offered assurances that mistakes of the past will be corrected, yet it seems that they have gone against their word, based on various articles. If this is the case then one needs to wonder where their [those behind the camp’s] motives lie.

Especially with all the press against the camp one can’t be so naive to the fact that there isn’t more then what meets the eye. After all for the major jathebandi’s to ask for a boycott of the camp, something serious must be wrong.

Taking all the above into consideration, its hard not to imagine why individuals would want to see the camp closed, but apart from that there’s also the Gurmat aspect of it.

Now I’m not against a camp which promotes a Jatha’s own view or slant on Gurmat, after all every camps views on Gurmat will be slanted in some manor one way or another. At the same time though, I’ve never heard of a single Jatha which condones alcohol, cutting of hair, and discouraging people from keeping rehit. Whether they stress the importance of keeping rehit at there camps or not, [has been said that Rehit isn’t over emphasized to prevent from scaring away the new comers], discouraging people from rehit is absurd, which has been the case reported by those against the camp.

Looking at the above its easy to find why those against the Sikh Student camp would feel frustrated by the actions [or lack thereof] on the part of organizers to fix these problems. Would this constitute their right to bomb someone’s car or jumping them in there driveway, probably not, but it does help serve a better picture of what’s really going on.

Lastly, are the victims really the victims? No doubt they are the ones who are suffering from the attacks, but how innocent are they to the whole ordeal? After all, imagine if they simply challenged those against the camp by saying something like, “we’re doing this camp one way or another,  we dare you try and stop us” or something to that effect, can you really hold it against someone for calling their bluff?

Again, I’m not here trying to condone the violence, because like I said earlier violence has a time and place, which I really don’t feel it did in this situation, but to also paint things black and white, having a good guy and bad guy just doesn’t seem fair, since clearly there is a lot of grey area in between.

Finally, in-fighting amongst sikh groups is nothing new, nor the violence between them. There has been in-fighting since the times of the Guru’s, and the ways of the elder generations is no deep dark secret. End of the day, we do need to stand up against those who go against the very rudimentary principles of Sikhi, however we do need to leave some flexibility and room for rationality and the ability to agree to disagree. With all the problems facing us, we need to pick and choose our fights, and the amount of energy we exert into each carefully, otherwise we will quickly find ourselves drained with nothing left. Conflicts at the grassroots levels such as Sikhi camps are especially dis-heartening as it sets all parties back when trying to convince parents and youth that they are genuinely interested in helping the kids. One needs look no further then the Bugga camps that used to happen in Ontario in the early 90’s. Ever since the corruption and exposure of those camps parents have had to take that extra vigilance before sending there kids to any camp [which they should be doing anyway’s], but when it comes to those who just don’t have the time, saying no and keeping the kids at home becomes just that much easier.

Dear Sikh Student Camp 2006 Team

It is disheartening to read you request of detailed of the incidents that we have highlighted in the leaflet. If you remember a meeting with yourselves was organised by Seva Singh Lallee, Manjit Singh and other Gravesend Gurdwara Committee members in early July 2006. not only did this meeting have representatives of the camp & the victims of the camp, but also had many members of Gravesend Sangat, because it was held in the Gurdwara Diwan hall.

Within this meeting all facts were presented to the Camp Organisers such as Gurmukh Singh, Randip Singh & Jasjot Singh. Furthermore to jog your memory this meeting has been captured on video by yourselves and we have an audio recording.

The culprits responsible for these and other incidents have been identified face to face and it is important to realise that you where dismissing these issues by saying those individuals have been banned for some time and so been dealt with. When the pictures of 2005 camp are reviewed those individuals are in the front during seminars and workshops. These same individuals were promoting the camp at “Keertan in the Park” in Hounslow, one week ago.

We have done nothing more but to given you suggestions and offer our help to stop these things from happen this year. Please remember our resolve to allow 10 or so of us to help out at your camp, this was flatly refused by Camp Organiser Gurmukh Singh of Gravesend.

Please acknowledge that within this meeting you agreed that these issues happened. Refering to the camp organiser who is head of security, she stated that if the Camp Organisers cannot impliment controls then the camp should not happen. When we questioned about how these culprits were dealt with, Camp organisers like Gurmukh Singh refused to elborate, again this doesnt give us any confidence in your intentions.

Within some of the emails I have received people are asking to clarify the camp organisers. If you remember you agreed to submit to us a list of camp organisers so that we could differenciate the organisers from the culprits. As to this day we have not received this list. It looks as if you do not wish to differenciate the organisers from the culprits.

The details have been with the organisers for many weeks now and we are still awaiting any response or action

If the organisers had any sense (which they dont considering what goes on at their camps..) they’d put the camp on hold this year, and re-do it with proper planning next year.

EktaOne Admin Goes Against His Word…..again

When Amanpreet Lallie (ektaone.com) signed a contract in front of 20 witnessess stating:

“I withdraw myself from control of all website seva and moderation of forums. I will also not be taking audio, video or photography at any smagams, camps and sikhi functions”

The Sikh Sangat breathed easily knowing that an agreement had been reached, and that hours of rallying Jathebandi’s and gathering evidence had been worth it. That was until photos like these came to our attention. From last nights dhadrianwale diwaan [Sedgley St, 09.07.06]:

EktaOne Amanpreet Lallie Does Seva

Shocking….

is the only word that comes to mind.

Eminent Sikh Sangat came together from all over the UK, from almost every Sikh panthic Jathebandi be it Akhaand Keertani Jatha, Damdami Taksal or Guru Nanak Nishkam Sevak Jatha and told Amanpreet Singh to take himself out of the limelight. To step away from certain ’spotlight’ seva that would put him in the public eye. This restriction was placed on Amanpreet due to his immoral behaviour which can be read about in more detail on this web log.

So what does Amanpreet do?

He STARS in a video with the British Broadcasting Company…. (representing the Sikh Faith).

Could he be more mindless and show less regard for the wishes of the Sikh community.

To view this mahaan sevadaar in action, the person who has single handedly ran EktaOne.Com for 5 years…. (even though its only been up for 2) click on this video.

Amanpreet Lallie – EKtaOne ‘Sevadaar’

INTRODUCTION

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh,

Amanpreet Singh Lallie is from Wolverhampton in his early twenties. He is well known in the sangat as a person who seems to do a lot of seva, which puts him in the limelight. He runs several websites including www.EktaOne.com, www.SaintSoldiers.com, www.BhaiNaranjanSingh.com, www.uksikhs.com and takes an active seva in the popular Sikh forum: www.SikhSangat.com. He is at many programmes up and down the country taking photos and recording Kirtan/talks etc… Because of this he has made himself very popular throughout the world. It means he has access to and details of a large group of vulnerable people who, thinking he is a model Gursikh contact him for advice and help in different matters. In retaliation to the private meeting that occurred on Saturday 4th March, Amanpreet Singh wrote a molecular version of events.

Many facts had been distorted including that he is being forced to close down EktaOne. The group would like to point out that our aim is NEVER to close down ANY websites including EktaOne.

This document has been compiled by a group of concerned individuals who have come together in hope that they can help desist a member of the community from committing actions that have raised concern over the past several years.
Originally there was an attempt by the concerned group of people to keep these issues within the walls of those who strictly were involved. However it would seem others would wish it to become a public issue and so it will be.

Below is evidence we have come across that has led us to believe the following action needed to be taken. It must be stressed that this was conducted in such a way as to ensure as few people found out and thus the delicate issue would remain private for the individual. The group of individuals involved were not just youth but older members of the sangat too. Those concerned included fellow students, teachers, relatives of the individual, parents of those involved etc…1

A benti from the humble Sangat to be placed at his feet for him to decide upon.
Evidence that has been obtained to be shown to the individual so he is aware of what is to be discussed. 2
A constructive agreement was drawn up that until these issues could be resolved Amanpreet Singh peacefully hand over public seva to other willing sevadaar. This decision was made after consulting older and wiser Gursikhs who firmly believe that:

“If someone is committing such mistakes whilst doing a high-profile seva, they should be asked to step aside until they have fixed themselves. If they stay they are hurting themselves and opening up the community to being discredited.”

· An option was given for the individual to seek help and guidance through the sangat.
·To discuss claims made by the individual on numerous ccasions that certain organisations and groups do not like him.
· To come to a peaceful conclusion that is agreed upon by all.

However when Amanpreet Singh was approached by the humble sangat he became very aggressive and his tone, very defensive. When politely asked if he was willing to hand over certain more high-profile seva to other Gursikhs, keen and able enough to continue, Amanpreet Singh uncompromisingly replied:4

“I will never give away my seva. No one can do it as good as me. It is my site. why should I give it away”

The sangat was very saddened by a reply full of such haumai. The ideals of seva that the sangat held seemed to be vastly different to the views held of the above individual.

As it was clear that Amanpreet Singh was in no mood to compromise in any way, even though he had admitted to all the below mentioned incidents, the sangat decided to conclude the meeting there and to go back and discuss other approaches and possibilities in tacking the situation.

EVIDENCE

Evidence 1.0 (Pink = Simi, Blue = Amanpreet Singh)
aman-talking1.jpg
Amanpreet Singh asking for pictures of Simi.

Evidence 1.1
aman-talking20.jpg
Here Amanpreet Singh is trying to confirm that Simi is who she says she is. This is a tactic seen before in personal experience with Amanpreet Singh. He will initially confirm the person is who they say they are before he moves onto telephone conversations.

Evidence 1.2

aman-talking3.jpg
Why does Amanpreet Singh have to be careful of the net? “Hence why we cant do this yet till I know who u r properly”. A tactic explained above.

Evidence 1.3

aman-talking4.jpg
“Well.. id end up touchin ya myself”

Is this the type of person who is fit to be involved in Sikh youth camps where our sisters/cousins will be present? We all have problems, and Amanpreet Singh can change – however these logs were recorded within a year of this report being published.

Evidence 1.4

aman-talking5.jpg
Amanpreet Singh or the cyber sangat may feel that these logs have been created by someone gaining control of his account. However it is worth noticing in this log entry that Amanpreet Singh gives his other account detail to Simi (from his main account).

In the next set of images you will see pictures of Amanpreet Singh’s body, he could not have put them up on his MAIN account as everyone on his list could have viewed them.

Evidence 1.5

aman-talking6.jpg

“Nice bum.”

Evidence 1.6

aman-talking7.jpg
Now obviously on this account Amanpreet Singh is able to put up any pictures he wishes to. Here is a picture of his stomach, which he asks for comments about. The compliments continue…

Evidence 1.7

aman-talking8.jpg
“that top and look is seductive”

Evidence 1.8

aman-talking9.jpg

“ure so beautiful though”

Evidence 1.9

aman-talking10.jpg

“id have u ne day though” (I would have you any day though) Not encouraging speech for someone doing seva to unite the panth with EktaOne.com, we again request Amanpreet Singh passes the seva onto someone else.

Evidence 2.0

aman-talking11.jpg
Again asking for pictures.

Evidence 2.1

all-pics0.jpg

The photos being transferred through the conversation. please note how Amanpreet Singh does not see anything wrong in principle about sharing semi naked images of himself with a girl he has not met over the internet.

Evidence 2.2

msn-right.jpg

This evidence was taken on Tuesday 14th February 2006. As you can see it’s the name he used on Microsoft Messenger. The email address is amanpritsingh@hotmail.com and his name reads:
“Vaheguroo’s Child :: Happy Valentines Day to all J :: – Kiran, Raj, Preeti, Sunita, Dilly, Heera, Minnie… add ure name here!”
Is this flirty attitude, written only a few weeks ago the action of a changed man?

Evidence 2.3

The views of people who have been effected by Amanpreet Singh’s actions.1

(Please see the endnotes for names of people willing to come forward to respectable members of the community, if further action needs to be taken.)

· L Kaur5 from the University of Birmingham became distressed when after taking her number, Amanpreet Singh rang her 58 unique times in one evening. She was not seen at any Sikh Society events for the rest of that academic year and admitted to sevadaar on her return that she had been…
“so intimidated by the phone calls that she was too scared to return to Sikh society incase she was seen again by him.”

· E Kaur came across the individual at Sikh society meetings. The well known individual persuaded her to meet up outside the meetings. Eventually he persuaded her to visit her in her personal dorms. On one of the evenings he was there till 2am. E Kaur became really alarmed and asked him to leave. He protested that he had no money for a taxi and he wished to stay at hers for the night. The girl refused and called him a taxi herself. She was incredibly traumatised by all this.

· M kaur5 from Coventry was similarly harassed by Amanpreet when she emailed into Ekta One for information on how to start sikh events in her area. She was so taken aback by the overpowering nature of Amanpreet Singh’s character that she decided she didn’t want to do anything and retreated.

· On differing occasions: X Kaur, Y Kaur, X Singh and Y Singh4 asked Amanpreet Singh to remove photos of themselves or others that were deemed inappropriate. Sometimes Amanpreet agreed and other times not. Thus his statement on www.sikhsangat.com of:6
“no bibi, NO ONE has ever complained that i have taken photos of them. You lot are sick lol! “
Is proven to be a very dishonest statement.

· N Kaur 15 from the University of Wolverhampton has made several complaints to the Sikh society about a member finding out her personal information and harassing her through telephone calls, asking her to meet up etc… (He has known on many occasions to hack into individual’s email accounts)7 She has stopped attending events in the possibility that she may she him and he may harass her.

· X Singh 15 – Well known to the individual discovered that Amanpreet Singh had been phoning and texting his fiancé in an attempt to persuade her to leave her fiancé for himself. The fiancé became confused and the both families were deeply upset by the actions of this one individual who they trusted.

· Q Kaur went to town with Aman and after a while was feeling uncomfortable and wished to leave. When she told the individual he grabbed her arm and said she can’t leave. Frightened, she got out of the lock and left the situation.

· M Kaur 2 and T Kaur 35 who attended a gurmat camp held at a local Birmingham Gurdwara expressed their concern that a sevadaar kept following them around and at the theme park, insisting on sitting next to them on rides. The felt very vulnerable and anxious by this behaviour. They are 15 and 16years old respectively.

· A few people heard the individual claim he was having an intimate relationship with a certain bibi from Birmingham. When this bibi was approached about the issue she told them that she had hardly even met Amanpreet Singh before, she never really speaks to him although he keeps ringing her a lot to see if they want to meet up. She always declined. The bibi in question was very upset, feeling as though she ”Had been given such a bad reputation when she didn’t even like the guy!”

· J Kaur was at one of the sikh society events. He was taking photos of the event including several very inappropriate close up shots. These photos were then emailed to friends and relatives in the sangat to corrupt her reputation as he had personal run ins with the girl. J Kaur was incredibly upset by this all.

· L Kaur first contacted him via sikhsangat. Amanpreet Singh then went on to offer his msn to L Kaur. After talking online and then confirming that L Kaur was indeed someone that he knew from the local sangat, Amanpreet Singh then went on to get L Kaur’s phone number. From then conversations followed from which L Kaur was asked to come to Amanpreet Singhs house. At this point L Kaur had to seek help in order to stop Amanpreet Singhs advances.

CONCLUSION

Unfortunately these are just some of the accounts we have heard in conjunction with the character we are in discussion of.

As you can appreciate evidence for these sorts of claims and behaviour is difficult if not impossible to obtain. In such situations it is only possible to believe one person’s word over the other. However, we feel having spoken to many of these people personally that their experiences are very much genuine.

It also seems unlikely that such a large number of people from very different circumstances, areas and walks of life would say similar things about one character if they were not true in some form or another.

If you speak to the general sangat who have known him for several years or more in a working relationship, there are very few who give any sort of respectable character reference.

The latest activities involving Amanpreet Singh taking “his side of the story” to the internet forums first is not surprising to any of us. This individual has a history of exaggerating, causing conflict, pleading for sympathy from naive members of the sangat and even lying as the recording from the meeting with community members shows clearly. He has convinced us on many occasions he realises his mistakes and is working to rectify them. Yet time and time again he has broken this promise. What trust do we have that he is not playing the same mind games yet again?

With all these circumstances in mind, it only seems to lead to a character reference that is not favourable for someone who represents Sikhi and is consistently in the limelight.

We would like to clarify that the only reason this has gone into the public view is because of failed attempts at a individual level, then a community level. We stress that the publication of this is only in response to Amanpreet Singhs own posts on global forums.

In closing we are sad that we have had to produce this document but unfortunately we were left with no choice by Amanpreet’s decision to fabricate lies about other organisations who have nothing to do with this. We hope Amanpreet Singh has changed but feel it is not appropriate for him to be tempted into kaam again through his seva on Ektaone and other websites/high profile positions. It is in everyone’s interest that a suitably qualified team take over this website so that the seva can continue and Amanpreet can find other seva that will help him stay out of kaam and not fall back into it.

This report is not as coherent as we would like it to be as you can appreciate it was written very hastily in response to Amanpreet Singh’s version of events and the sangats plea to hear the side of the story from those directly involved with the situation over a period spanning 4/5 years. We are not professional article writers, nor do we have the ability to articulate arguments as well as others however we have tried to offer our side of events for purposes of clarity.

If any individual would like more information or share any experiences similar to the above then please email:

Thank you for your time

Sikh Student Camp Bhangra….

SikhStudent Camp Issues – Meeting 1 Jul 2006, Gravesend, Kent

In response to the serious issue of the rumours that are going around regarding the SikhStudent Camp held annually in Chigwell, Essex. On the 1 July 06 a meeting was held in Gravesend Gurdwara, Khalsa Avenue attended by concerned members of the Sikh sangat from around the UK and the Camp organisers. Below is a summary by one of the attendees (taken from www.MrSikhNet.com)

On Saturday 1st July, I attended a public meeting held at Gravesend Gurdwara, Khalsa Avenue, organised by our local elders of Gravesend with elders from Slough, Southall, East London and Midlands attending the meeting. This included ex-campers and ex-sewadars of the Camp sharing what they witnessed at the camp, which I am sure if anyone heard would be horrified by. These organisers acknowledged and accepted these statements. The meeting was filmed on video by someone from the Sikh Student Camp and was also recorded on MP3 by the Sangat. Previous to this meeting I had heard various rumours and Internet bashing, however this was the first time both sides sat down and the Sangat were made to know the true reality of the situation.

I don’t want to write an essay about all the things discussed in the meeting however I would like to share that some “very serious” issues were raised. The main issues, which I heard at the meeting, were:

a) Promotion of Sanatan Dharma, a fundamentalist Hindu interpretation of Sikhism, e.g. we were told that by campers that they were told that the kachera comes from Hanuman (monkey god), men dressed as nihung singhs cut themselves and put blood on the khanda of the nishaan sahib for 2 or 3 years running, and campers have been told that the “true guru” is not solely guru granth sahib but “three Granths”, i.e. dasam granth, sarbloh granth and guru granth sahib make up the “Guru”.

b) Lack of observance of Sikh code of conduct in darbar and generally the camp – the camp organisers admitted that a Big Brother style video was shown in the darbar which included campers singing Bhangra songs about women and liquor, also we were made aware that amritdharis which had publicly renounced Sikhism by cutting their hair were asked to do kirtan, clapping was encouraged in the Darbar. The camp organisers admitted that they had no control to control the situation.

c) Campers, but worryingly sevadars in the camp not observing correct behaviour with campers in particular females. It was admitted there were issues with “over friendliness” and a female ex-camper shared that sexually disgusting things were said to her for two years running and to her friends by sevadars running “discussions”.

The conclusion of the meeting was that the Elders said if the Camp organisers, 50 in number, cannot control a group of 10 people who attended the camp and afterwards admitted to the Camp organisers that they wished to sabotage the camp, then how could they control a possible 20, 30 or 40 wrong campers?

A lady who was in charge of last year’s security of the camp nicely summarised that “Security is the most important thing in a Camp. For any good camp you need excellent security. If we don’t have the man-power or capability to control campers then we shouldn’t do a camp.” An Elder said that the Sangat could send 30 or 40 men to help the security and “save the camp” however at the same time that would cause tension and aggression with those who attend the camp with the intention of causing trouble and fighting at the camp is not a solution but would be a further problem.

Deep and serious issue, so let’s not jump the gun. It’s good that we are all concerned and wish to help out. So let’s do that. I was happy that Internet Rumours and “Hear-say” were cleared at the meeting and the Sangat were made aware of the “THE” truth so that they could move forward to actually help the Organisers to address issues of immoral conduct, promotion of Hinduism in Sikh appearance to campers, loose behaviour and how basic Gurdwara etiquette has been observed.

So let’s pray and let’s try to do something positive. May God help us in keeping Sikhism’s purity and sincerity.

Gurdeep Sandhu

Shining Sikhs and EktaNONE blog…

Firstly check out www.ShiningSikhs.blogspot.com thankfully posted by some bright spark in the comments..

Some comments:

“I met her in Hayes a few months ago… well, if you can call seeing and admiring her a “meeting” then its all good.”

“You may have seen Bhai Sukhwinder Singh around the UK… no sorry, let me change that, around the WORLD in the past few years particularily and we have officially named him as a Shining Sikh.”

“His personality is crazy! The first time i met him, i thought to myself that he must be a really “kharkoo” type Singh. I remember sitting in sangat at an AKJ rensbhaee and in total awe of the amazing vibes he was giving all around the room.”

“He was talking seriously but also making wise cracks in between to make me laugh and to be honest, i didnt know if i should laugh or not. All i know is i wanted to kiss his feet. His presence is just electric wherever he is. His words are wise. He is a true Shining Sikh.”

“Seeing him for the first time could be a bit daunting… a well-built, 6 foot 1 inch, Nihang bana bearing naujavaan coming towards you could just make you scream, turn and run! But infact… his amazing aura would just make you stop in your tracks and fall inlove with the jeevan of this true Sikh warrior.”

Im not hating on this blogger, as they surely have alot of love for Sikhi. but the way they chose to showcase it could be improved. Check this:

Chapter 16
Invaluable Writings Thrown into the Fire

A wealthy individual usually doesn’t disclose all his wealth to everyone. He only shows the amount that it required for his everyday living. In this way, Baba ji would not disclose his spiritual wealth. He kept the bounty he had attained through meditation and Naam Jap hidden (with Guru Ji’s help) and under Guru’s command he behaved very much like and ordinary person. At first, when Guru Ji would explain or order him to do something, he would record it in a diary which he kept under lock and key (the objective of doing this was that if he died, then somebody would find this diary and read it. This would inspire them to become a Sikh of Guru Ji). But he was forced to burn the diary because of an event which happened in Sargodhe when someone stayed over one night.

Baba ji awoke early and went to the river bank as was his daily routine. The cupboard where the diary was kept accidentally been left unlocked and the diary was read by the person staying in the room.

About four hours later when Baba ji returned, the man said ‘Bhai Sahib ji! Satguru ji has spoken to you on many occasions but you have never given any sign of this.’ Baba ji asked him how he had found out, to which the man answered that he had read the diary. Baba ji told him that what he had done was immoral. He was willing to accept what had happened but he humbly requested that he should not tell anyone about what he had read. But he could not keep to his word and he told many people. These individuals approached Baba ji and asked him to narrate all these happenings to them. But he blatantly refused.

The following day, he thought about the situation. If someone else gets hold of this diary, then they will also tell others and even more people will start coming and asking what the experiences were. To continuously refuse people is morally wrong as well, because they will get upset. On the other hand, if tell someone, then others will also come asking me to tell them too. Baba Kabeer Ji’s shabad is and everlasting warning to us:

‘Kabir Sikh Saakhaa Bahuthay Keeay Keso Keeo Na Meeth || Chaalay Thhe Har Milan Ko Beechay Atkio Cheeth || Page 1369

The whole point of this simran and meditation is to take the soul to the highest state. Not to get people worshipping you. One cannot afford to get side tracked on this path. After thinking long and hard, he decided that keeping a diary was by no means an option, so it was only right to burn the diary. He stopped writing from that day. If all these events could have been recorded then they would have been invaluable. But this was obviously contrary to Guru Ji’s will. On the 23rd September 1970, at the age of 73, a cassette was recorded of all the events which he remembered at that time. The cassette is still available today.

From this we can clearly learn that we should not talk about people/praise them if they are still alive.

A mind established in the Divine discards both.

EktaNone Blog Says:

logo.gif

It was down for a while, while we were down. But we are now up, and so is this blog. In the 3-4 months a lots changed personally and in seva too. And there are more new changes being made to EktaOne as we speak with more n more sevadars coming forward to support and help run the site so it isnt a one-man band anymore. ….dass is far from perfect too. But its like any journey you take… by road, their are bumpy roads, by sea there are big waves, by air there is turbulence. And this is the EktaOne journey. We come accross bumps, waves, turbulence and a lot more but we get back up and continue along the path praying to Maharaj that whatever happens… dont let go of my hand.

There are a few haters, we know. But we care more about the ones who love the site and compared to the haters… theres a lot more out there. (only because they dont know, dont know how you flo’)

zzz zzzzzzzzzzzz

3/4 months isnt enough time to correct such a serious character flaw (which can be read about in detail in previous posts)

The world is watching.

We as a sangat strongly disagree with people doing seva in the spotlight be it camps, gurudwara commitee’s and youth events if they have kaam related problems, not just once twice but two figure type flexes. We will be listening out for any problems anyone has.

p.s if this guy says “Yep, its been a good few months since WE (yes theres more than one of us in the team) posted on the blog.” then get someone else to take your closeup pictures and do your recordings. Take yourself outta the spotlight and let someone else be seen doing it.

WOULD THAT BE TOO HARD TO ASK? PRETTY PLEASE??

EktaOne Webmaster Goes Against His Word….

bewarethephotographicdragon.jpg

After signing an agreement which was posted on the internet, infamous ektaone.com webmaster has been seen operating a camera at the recent Atam Ras keertan darbar in Wolverhampton.

Please be aware photos may be used to ridicule you in the future, or for his own personal collection.

All that we ask is that he take a step back, not start up new accounts on his sister site (www.sikhsangat.com). It doesnt matter if your called Nama Singh, SScom, ThinInternetWarrior or EktaOne.Com – the point is to make sure that there is not correlation between you and young people who are coming into Sikhi – and may through some major confusion see you as a Gursikh.

I Was Hoping I Would Not Have To Post Again, Sadly
This Is Not
The
Case.

Here, Here.

Sikh Solutions Blog?

“I don’t want the Sikh problems people to come after me, but I don’t particularly like that blog. I like the comment of somebody else on there where they said, why not have a Sikh solutions blog?”

- Prabhu Singh, Nature loving friend of the people

Our response:
The Solution to the problems mentioned in this blog are relatively simple.

Regarding the Amanpreet Lallie issue;
Stop doing seva that puts yourself in the spotlight. (Put simply hand over seva of websites to other people, moderation is not the answer.)

Don’t get involved in websites where people will come to you for seva of any kind. It is of utmost importance to realise here that seva should not be taken away from Amanpreet, and in all fairness he should get MORE seva. However, the seva should not be of that nature which leads to temptation. And to be honest, there are people doing more seva on bigger projects that are Gupt (secret) sevadaars and dont seem to be creating a ego over relatively monkey type activities like creating websites.

Offering Sikhi related guidance on message boards is almost ’slap worthy’. Let the guy work on himself and who knows in a few years he may be an ideal Gursikh. We honestly hope.

Regarding the Sikh Student Camp posts;

Don’t let people who do damage to the Sikh Saroop (image) attend the camp. The problem is ofcourse that organisers within the camp have close friendships/relations to those campers who cause trouble. The camp itself is a brilliant way to get people who dont usually get Sikh education to come forward, have fun and learn about this great religion. It’s only a small percentage like 10% or so that do damage.

“Like my mamma used to say, one bad apple in a barrel is sometimes enough to make the whole barrel go bad.”

Sikhsangat have only been criticised because of their totalitarian approach to comments and posts. Just ask Kurtas.

This blog is not a personal vandetta against anybody, it just highlights those problems which people seem to be overlooking that could well do damage to the panth.

We honestly hope the problems will be resolved but without admitting there are problems, and merely calling it slander whenever someone mentions anothers bad actions we’re going to get no where.

We cant look into people souls and examine their spirituality, but what we can do is examine their actions.

Request

Can people stop emailing/trying to post the infamous-selfstyled-SikhSangat-wisdom-Guru “Nama Singh” (aka ektaone **FLASH** photographers) home address and phone number on this blog.

You can promote as many Sikh Sites as you like, but at the end of the day Sikhi Parchaar starts at home.

The boycott continues, be it ektaone, saintsoldiers etcetera. Pass the reigns, step back, be a man.

Get off the forums Nama Singh.

You cannot inspire Sikhs to be Sikhs if your own Sikhi is twisted like a used Kachera.
